Employee communication and feedback is critical

Gallup reports that employees receiving regular feedback from supervisors are almost three times more engaged that those with supervisors that don’t provide regular feedback. Add to that the Korn Ferry statistic that retail turnover was an incredible 60% before COVID-19, and even higher (76%) for part time employees.

Providing regular, consistent feedback can be a challenge

Some managers aren’t comfortable with confrontation and may avoid being direct when there is a problem. Other supervisors tend to manage by exception, telling team members when there is a problem but not providing positive feedback. Managers also have a lot going on and they may work different shifts than some of their team. All these factors make it hard to provide that consistent feedback that helps employees perform at their potential.

Integration & Scoring

The Employee Scorecard is integrated with all other modules, automatically generating scores from the Incident, Store Inspection, Scheduling, and Task modules. One or more scores are generated in each of these areas for every shift worked. Businesses can also weight each measure based on its importance to the company, so employees can see how they score in each area as well as an aggregate score per shift and an average score over time. 

Visualization

Dashboards display scores for employees and locations over time, allowing managers to see trends, identify issues, and understand relative differences. 

Coaching & Feedback

When viewing a score, team members and managers can put in a note to one another or request or make an adjustment as appropriate. Based on company parameters, the system will also automatically flag exceptions for managers to ensure they are communicating. If configured, the system will also provide “early warning” coaching for employees when performance in an area is starting to slip.
